The Adidas Stan Smith is an iconic piece of design, coveted and consistently in demand since its launch in the 1970s.
Possibly more famous than the man himself! When adidas decided to relaunch the shoe we needed to find a way to ensure appeal with the lifestyle consumer audience.Our approach was to create an interactive app based experience as the centrepiece to a pop up environment. Our audience was asked to ‘Stan Yourself’.
People queued around the block to ‘Stan themselves’ creating huge audience appeal. The digital experience was then taken to major cities for each brand launch and a special blue version was created exclusively for JD sports. To capture you own image and recreate the iconic Stan Smith tongue graphic personalised to you. Images were captured on tablets, signed, printed and shared socially.
